Badejo Quadrado is mooring 9 in Portinho, the side of Alcatrazes sheltered from the east wind. Rocky reef covered in algae and coral mixes with walls, boulders and a cave from 4 to 25 m, holding both reef fauna and passing fish. It is rated medium difficulty.

The dive
The boat ties on to mooring 9 in Portinho, the cove that gives shelter when the wind is from the east. It is one of two scuba moorings sheltered there, alongside Jardim de Corais at mooring 10. Divers descend onto rocky reef covered in algae and coral from about 4 m, with the bottom reaching around 25 m below the mooring.
