The dive
Little George is a small island sitting between Alonissos and Skopelos, and its west side is a sharp drop that runs down to 50 metres. The wall is not a blank face: openings and cracks are cut into it all the way along, and there is a lot of marine life passing by it as well as living in it. The east side of the same island holds a separate site, the Gorgonian Gardens.
The areas of primary interest sit between 15 and 28 metres, with 45 to 50 metres as the maximum below you, and the operator recommends Advanced Open Water for the site. Fork beards, sea breams and groupers frequent the openings and cracks, and there is a large variety of nudibranchs here, so the dive rewards both a look into the holes and a slow pass over the rock between them.

What certification do you need for Little George's Wall?+
An Advanced Open Water certification is recommended. The areas of primary interest are between 15 and 28 metres, but the wall drops sharply past that to a maximum of 45 to 50 metres, which is why the operator raises the bar here.
