Cala Canyelles
Beach entry along the jetty to about 7 m

The beach dive at Lloret's Cala Canyelles follows the cove's jetty out to about seven metres, and the catalogue puts it forward as a place to practise and develop skills rather than as a dive with a feature. A dive centre sits on the cove itself, which is why it sees so much course and training use.

The dive
You walk in off the beach and take the jetty on your right hand, following it out to sea until the bottom reaches about seven metres. That is the dive: a straight line out along a structure that cannot be lost, a shallow turn and the same line back. It is the kind of profile a course uses for a reason, since a student can stop, sort a problem out and stand the dive down at any point without an ascent worth planning.
The catalogue is direct that the value here is practice — developing the skills of a good diver — rather than the seabed, and it records nothing else about what is on the bottom, so come for the water rather than for a feature to find. At seven metres, with a dive centre based on the cove itself, it also works as the place to sort out new kit or a rusty buddy pair before a boat day offshore.
