Yıldız Koyu

A seagrass trail from mid-bay down to rocks at 25 m

Yıldız Koyu is a pebble-and-rock bay on Gökçeada, at one end of the island's underwater park. Below the surface the bay looks much like the land around it, and a band of seagrass leads from the middle of the bay down to a deeper rocky bottom.

The dive

Heading out from the shore, the bottom drops to 9–15 m and then shoals again to 6–7 m, pebble and rock like the shore above. From the middle of the bay, a field of seagrass begins at 12 m, and following it down leads to the rocks at about 25 m, the deepest part of the dive.
