Agios Vasileios
A cave that climbs from 23 m to 12 m inside an islet wall
Agios Vasileios is an islet off the south coast of Lesbos near the Gulf of Gera, reached by speedboat from Charamida. Its wall holds a cave that opens at depth and climbs inside, and after the cave the dive circles the islet to look for tuna, snappers and amberjacks.

The dive
The cave recess appears on the wall at 23 m and widens as divers move into it. Further in, it narrows again and rises to 12 m, and no more than 3 to 4 divers enter at a time.
At 100 bar the group starts to climb out and up to 15 m, then continues anticlockwise around the islet watching the blue for tuna, snappers and amberjacks.

Season follows Lesbos: Boats run from April or May to October, while the sea warms from about 15 °C (59 °F) in April to 25 °C (77 °F) in August.
