Two swim-through windows carved into one small island

A small island about 15 minutes from Misool Resort with two swim-through 'windows' carved into it — the resort counts it among its most famous sites. The south-west face is steep and exposed to the current, which typically runs at 1–2 knots; average depth is around 15 m with a maximum of 35 m, and wobbegongs rest under the massive table corals.

The dive
The site is a small island with two 'windows' cut through it, and the swim-throughs give the dive its name and its shape. Average depth sits around 15 m, with a maximum of 35 m available for those who want it, so the profile flexes to the group. The south-west face is the committing side: it is quite steep and exposed to the current, which typically runs in the 1–2 knot range.
Make a point of looking under the massive table corals — the resort's own site notes say to check beneath them, and wobbegong sharks are the reason: they rest under the tables. Beyond that, the dive is a matter of working the island's flank at your chosen depth between the two windows, taking the swim-throughs as they come, and giving the exposed south-west face the respect its current deserves.

Season follows Misool: Rough seas July–early September; visibility peaks in November and February–March, baitfish and mobulas arrive September–October, and May–June south winds bring more sharks.
