A hidden air chamber lit through small holes in the rock

A wall dive at the southwest corner of Farondi Island whose main feature is a secret air chamber enclosed within the rock. You enter through the cavern entrance at 5–12 m, where golden cave sweepers hold among green fans, white black-coral bushes and purple sea ferns; inside, small holes let sunlight through to a shimmering, sky-blue water surface.

The dive
The dive centres on the chamber. You access the cavern through the entrance at 5–12 m on the island's wall, past green fans, white black-coral bushes and purple sea ferns, with golden cave sweepers schooling in the entrance way. Inside is the feature the site is known for: an air chamber enclosed within the island's wall, where several small holes let sunlight penetrate and leave a shimmering, sky-blue surface overhead.
Treat it as an overhead environment all the same — keep the entrance in view and follow the guide's plan in and out. The shallow entrance depth keeps the profile gentle, and the wall outside carries the rest of the dive: work back along it at whatever depth the plan allows and finish in the light above the entrance.

Season follows Misool: Rough seas July–early September; visibility peaks in November and February–March, baitfish and mobulas arrive September–October, and May–June south winds bring more sharks.
