Nudi Rock
An islet shaped like a nudibranch, ridge-linked to Tank Rock

A small island in the Fiabacet chain that, from a distance, looks a great deal like the nudibranch it is named for. The southern side is the dive: a sloping plateau descends to around 28 m, where a coral ridge connects across to nearby Tank Rock, and when the current runs the plateau gathers large schools of fish, with barracuda, giant trevally and grey reef sharks out in the blue.

The dive
Nudi Rock is a small island in the Fiabacet chain, and the southern side carries the interest: in dramatic contrast to the rest of the site, a sloping plateau steps down to around 28 m, where a coral ridge runs across to nearby Tank Rock. Drop in on that side and work the slope, using the ridge as the dive's outer landmark and its turning point.
Timing matters more than depth here. When the current is running, the southern plateau transforms into a gathering point for large schools of fish, and you can expect barracuda, giant trevally and grey reef sharks patrolling the blue off the ridge. The catalogue rates the current low — under a knot on a typical day — so the flow tends to help rather than fight you. Finish the dive back up the slope over the islet's shallower reef.
