A holed and cracked wall from 15 m to 30 m

A wall that runs from 15 m down to 30 m, close to the Port Salvi caves, and the kind of rock face that rewards divers who look into it rather than along it. It is full of holes, cavities and cracks, with lobster, crustaceans and nudibranchs easy to find and shrimp and hermit crabs living back in the holes.

The dive
The wall runs from 15 m at the top to 30 m at the foot, which divides the dive for you: drop down the face, work the deep end first, then climb it slowly. The rock is not smooth. It is full of holes, cavities and cracks, and those cavities are the habitat the whole site is built on, so the interesting part of the dive stays within arm's reach of the wall.
Lobster, crustaceans and nudibranchs are the easy finds on the face, with shrimp and hermit crabs back inside the holes and fish on the bottom below it. Moray eels lead the logged sightings here with two hundred and five, and eagle rays have been recorded nineteen times, so it is worth turning away from the rock now and then to check the open water beside it.

Season follows Costa Brava: Centres in Sant Feliu and Platja d'Aro dive all year; logged sightings peak July to September and the water sits at 13 °C from January to March.
