Rocky ground at 30 m, current, and tuna on occasion
An east-coast site for experienced divers, dived at an average depth of 30 metres with a maximum of around 45, and accessible only about 60 percent of the year. The current on it can be moderate to strong. Most of the ground is rocky, the fauna runs small to medium in size, and tuna come through on occasion.

The dive
Boca Cangrejo is not a site that runs on demand: the source puts it at accessible around 60 percent of the year, and the current, which can be moderate to strong, is what decides. When it does run, the dive averages 30 metres with a maximum of around 45, so the plan is short and depth-led rather than a wander over the ground.
The ground is mostly rocky and the fauna small to medium in size, so the interest is in working the rock rather than waiting on anything large, though tuna come through on occasion. With current on the site, a route that starts into it and finishes with it is the sensible shape, and the deeper end is better kept for a day when the water is not moving.
