The dive
The boat run out of Georgioupoli takes about 15 minutes and the drop is straight onto the wall. It falls to 40 m, so the first decision is what depth to hold: the face is the same dive shallow as it is deep, and the deeper you take it the shorter the tank lasts. Most of the interest is on the left shoulder, where the rock stands vertical.
Work along that face and read the crevices. Moray eels sit back in the holes, octopus wedge into the cracks and crustaceans line the ledges, so the pace is slow and the torch does most of the finding rather than your eyes. Come up the wall rather than away from it, because the shallower rock keeps producing right into the safety stop.
