An easy shore dive near Georgioupoli with a maximum depth of 15 m over rocky patches. Currents are mild, and fresh water running into the sea here leaves it noticeably cooler. Straightforward ground for training and for anyone who wants a long, undemanding dive.

The dive
The entry is a walk-in from the beach and the ground beyond it is rock in patches, running to 15 m at the deepest. There is nothing to navigate around and the current is mild, so this is the kind of dive where you set a direction along the coast, follow the rock and turn on pressure. The shallow depth keeps bottom times long.
The thing to plan for is temperature. Fresh water feeds in here and the sea runs cooler for it, so a thicker suit than the rest of this coast asks for is the fix; a long shallow dive is exactly the profile that lets a cool spot find you. Beyond that the site asks very little: mild current, rock to put a torch into and no depth to manage.
