A shallow site on the Georgioupolis coast, 7 m at its deepest, with a sandy bottom broken up by seagrass and rocky formations. The water is calm and warm year-round and you walk in from the beach, which makes this a training and snorkelling site rather than a destination dive.

The dive
Everything here happens in the top 7 m. You walk in from the coast at Georgioupolis and swim out over sand, and the dive is a matter of working between the patches: seagrass in one place, rock in another, open sand in between. With that little depth, gas lasts as long as your patience, which is why the site gets used for skills and for first sea dives.
The rocky formations are where to spend the time. They break the sand up and hold whatever is living on this stretch of coast, and at 7 m there is enough light to see it without a torch. The water stays calm and warm through the year, which is what makes the site a standby for training and refreshers, and it is shallow enough that snorkellers can follow the same ground from the surface.
