Thor Star

A loading crane that leads across the wreck to the bridge and propeller

The Thor Star is a steel ship lying broken in three pieces off Pserimos, where she was abandoned on the south-east side of the island. The wreck runs from a shallow bow down to a stern with its bridge and propeller, and its intact superstructure draws more big fish than any of the surrounding sites.

Also known as The Thor Star, Seeadler.

The dive

The bow, the first section, lies at 5 m. The second part starts at the same depth and reaches 12 m, still within easy reach of the surface. The ship's loading crane leads out to the third section, the stern, where the bridge and propeller sit at 24 m. With the superstructure still intact, jacks, bonitos and snappers gather around the wreck, and tuna sometimes pass.
