The Cathedral is here: a cave about 40 m long with a large air dome in its roof, entered through a grand entrance at 19 m. The rest of the site is wall and fallen blocks between 12 and 25 m, with scorpionfish sheltering among the rocks, and the operator asks that the caves be dived with one of its guides.

The dive
Dived on the outside, the site is wall and detached blocks between 12 and 25 m — the catalogue gives 22 m as the maximum — with a large number of fallen rocks among which scorpionfish sit protected. That version is an ordinary rock dive of this coast, and a good one. What Les Vetes is known for is inside the wall rather than on it.
The Cathedral is the cave to start with, and it is reached through a grand entrance at 19 m. It runs about 40 m with a large air dome in its roof. It is an overhead environment, and the operator's own advice is that its caves be visited in the company of one of its experienced guides rather than alone.

Season follows Costa Brava: Water runs from about 13 °C in February to 25 °C in July and August; no L'Escala centre publishes closing months, and the tramuntana can keep boats in port in any month.
