Punta Milà
A cave at 19 m that marks the way back along the wall

The headland between Cova de la Sal and Cala Viuda, and the point where a mixed group splits: advanced divers take the Milà wall at about 25 m while first-time divers stay shallow in the next cove. The site's range runs from 6 to 25 m, and a cave at 19 m is the marker for the way back.

The dive
The operator uses this headland to split a group by level: advanced divers begin down the Milà wall, about 25 m deep, while those doing baptisms or their first dives enjoy a shallow dive in the next cove at Cova de la Sal. The site's own range runs from 6 to 25 m, so both halves of the group are working the same piece of coast.
On clear days you can glimpse the bottom from 18 m — a field of blocks detached from the Montgrí mountain, shelter for countless wrasse, octopus and occasionally some grouper. A cave at 19 m, where lobster usually sit, is the reference point: it is what you look for to find the way back towards Cova de la Sal, where the shallow group is finishing up.

Season follows Costa Brava: Water runs from about 13 °C in February to 25 °C in July and August; no L'Escala centre publishes closing months, and the tramuntana can keep boats in port in any month.
