Kongebrogaarden is a shore wall in the Little Belt, entered beside a marina. It is the place in Lillebælt with the shortest distance from the shore to 40 m, and the wall is covered in large colonies of sea squirts, hydroids and giant plumose anemones.
Also known as Kongebrogården.
Where it is and how deep
55.5119° N, 9.7106° EApproximate position — the dashed circle shows where the site lies; your operator's briefing has the mooring.
The dive
From the marina, divers cross mussel beds, eelgrass, sand and bladder wrack for about 25 m until the top of the wall at 6 m. After a further 6-8 m they reach the seabed at its foot, and the face carries large colonies of sea squirts, pink oaten pipe hydroids and giant plumose anemones, with a stream of nudibranchs in winter.
For depth, divers enter to the left of the harbour at the west-facing danger mark and swim a compass bearing of 30 to reach 40 m, among large rocks and often some cod.
