Diamond Rock
A full circuit of the rock, then up the canyon on its northeast side

Saba's best-known landmark above the water and a single isolated rock below it, standing on flat sand at 24 m. The dive is a circuit of the base with a canyon on the northeast side to climb back up through. Southern stingrays and furry sea cucumbers work the sand, horse-eye jacks hang off the rock, and chain moray eels, octopus, unicorn filefish and juvenile angelfish live on the structure.

The dive
The landmark rock stands on a flat, sandy bottom at 24 m, and the dive is a circumnavigation of that base. Drop down the line, get onto the sand and start working around the rock, keeping low: the open ground is where southern stingrays sit out and furry sea cucumbers cross the open sand. Because this is one isolated rock with nothing else around it, navigation comes down to keeping the structure on the same shoulder the whole way round.
A canyon cuts the northeast side of the rock and gives you the route back up. Take it as a spiral rather than a straight ascent, because the walls of it are where chain moray eels, unicorn filefish, octopus and juvenile angelfish are found, and horse-eye jacks are found around the rock. Worked that way the ascent becomes the second half of the dive instead of a swim back to the line.

Questions divers ask
How deep is Diamond Rock?+
The rock sits on a flat, sandy bottom at 24 m, which is the deepest part of the dive. The circuit is made near that bottom, then the canyon on the northeast side is used to work back up the structure.
