Agni Reef
A reef from 1.5 to 30 m with a wreck at 40 m beyond, dived day and night

Agni reef is the north-east coast's all-rounder: the reef starts at just 1.5 m and works down to 30 m, with a wreck lying at 40 m beyond it, so everyone from new divers to deep specialists gets a version of the site. Current is normally absent, visibility often exceeds 30 m, and operators run night dives here too.

The dive
The boat ride from the Nissaki base takes about 15 minutes. The reef's spread of depth sets the plan: the top starts at just 1.5 m, so beginners and second-dive groups stay high on the structure, while deeper-rated divers take it down towards 30 m — and suitably trained divers carry on to the wreck lying at 40 m beyond the reef itself.
This is the coast's macro dive. The rock holds red scorpionfish, spider crabs, cushion stars, fireworms, damselfish, red mullet, nudibranchs, pen shells and cuttlefish, so a slow pace over the reef pays better than covering distance. Current is normally absent and visibility routinely tops 30 m; the flagged hazards are depth and boat traffic, so ascend near the reef or under a marker. Night dives run here as well.
