Ladiko Cove
Flat reef, drop-off and wall in one 18 m dive

Ladiko Cove is the shallow dive at Ladiko, an 18 m site that H2O Diving Center describes as combining every reef type on the island, flat reef, drop-off and wall, and ending on a surprise spot. The minimum level is Open Water Diver, which makes it the Ladiko dive for newer divers and the relaxed alternative to the two deeper walls beside it.

The dive
The cove is the gentle version of Ladiko. You walk in from the beach and the dive takes in the three reef types the operator lists, flat reef, a drop-off and a section of wall. Maximum depth for the whole dive is 18 m, so none of it takes an Open Water diver below the limit of their certification, and the route is a tour of the reef types rather than a descent.
H2O Diving Center's description ends the dive on a surprise spot, and the operator keeps the surprise; expect the guide to lead you to it. From there you work back towards the entry point and finish in the shallows. With the deeper Ladiko walls next door, the cove is the dive to do first from this beach, or the second dive of the day when the first one went deep.

Season follows Rhodes: May to October is the season, peaking July to September; centres still run in October, charter flights stop after October, and very little is dived from November to March.
