Ladiko Wall South
A stiff wall from 6 m to 30 m with an Open Water minimum

Ladiko Wall South is the easier of the two Ladiko walls, a steep face on the north-east coast of Rhodes that starts at 6 m and drops to 30 m. H2O Diving Center lists Open Water Diver as the minimum level and says the difficulty and maximum depth can be arranged to suit the group; Trident Diving School puts Ladiko at 10 to 30 m.

The dive
Ladiko is a walk-in from the beach south of Faliraki. H2O Diving Center describes the south wall as relatively easier than the north part, a stiff wall starting from 6 m and dropping to 30 m, which means the top of the face is in the shallows and you can pick your depth on it. Descend over the lip, settle at the depth agreed in the briefing and follow the face with the wall on one shoulder and open water on the other.
How deep you go decides the dive. The face runs to 30 m at the bottom, so an Open Water diver keeps to the upper wall while more experienced buddies drop lower, and everyone comes back up the rock in stages rather than in open water. Trident Diving School quotes Ladiko at an average depth of 10 to 30 m. The shallows at 6 m along the top of the wall give an easy safety stop and a long finish over the reef before the walk out.

Season follows Rhodes: May to October is the season, peaking July to September; centres still run in October, charter flights stop after October, and very little is dived from November to March.
