Cenote Cristalino
Nine metres of clear water used for course skills

A shallow freshwater cenote north of Puerto Aventuras with a maximum of 9 m, used mostly for course work that needs confined shallow water and clear conditions. There is a cave section leading off it, but that part is closed to anyone without full cave certification, so the recreational dive stays in the open, bright end.

The dive
The dive is shallow and open, with a maximum of 9 m, and the water is clear enough that the bottom is visible from the surface across most of the cenote. That combination is why instructors bring students here: skills that need shallow water and good visibility work better in a cenote than in the sea outside, with no swell and nothing to drift into.
For certified divers not on a course it is a short, easy dive rather than a headline one, usually paired with a deeper or more decorated cenote on the same trip. There is a cave section running off the cenote, and it is signed and lined as cave rather than cavern: without full cave certification the dive stays out of it.

Season follows Riviera Maya Cenotes: Divable year-round at a constant 25°C; the Nov–Apr dry season is clearest, while summer downpours can cloud shallow cenotes for a day or two.
