A small islet off Vis that can be swum right around on a single dive. There are numerous fish on the rock, and a few ancient amphorae lie scattered between 14 and 37 metres, resting where they came to rest. How deep the circuit runs decides how many of them you pass.

The dive
The islet is small enough to circle in one dive, so the plan is simply to drop in, pick a direction and keep the rock on one shoulder until you are back where you started. Depth is set by how many of the amphorae you want to see: they are found from 14 metres down to 37, so the deeper the circuit runs, the more of them are within reach on the way round.
There are numerous fish on the rock itself, but the pottery is what divers come for. The amphorae are scattered between 14 and 37 metres, lying where they ended up, and the rule is the obvious one: look, photograph, move nothing. A single dive can take in both, the deeper water for the pottery first and the shallower rock for the fish on the way back up.

Season follows Vis: Dive season runs mid-April to mid-October; Jun–Sep gives the warmest water, near 24°C, and calmest conditions for the wreck sites.
