Žali Potok / Šekoda
A shared wall dived two ways, west of Punta Covika

Two dives on one stretch of steeply sloping underwater rock, a short way west of the Punta Covika headland on Vis. They share the same wall but offer different things: Žali Potok is the shallower of the pair, to 20 or 25 metres, and is dived with the right hand against the wall throughout.
Also known as Žali Potok, Šekoda.

The dive
The cliff west of the Punta Covika headland slopes steeply into the water and keeps going below it, and the two sites here work the same stretch of underwater rock for different reasons. Žali Potok is the shallower variant, running to 20 or 25 metres; Šekoda is the other name on the same rock, and no depth or terrain detail is published for it. What follows is the Žali Potok dive.
Žali Potok is dived with the right hand against the wall, and that fixes the shape of it: in on one heading with the rock on your right the whole way, a turn on time or gas, then back along the same face with it on your left. It is simple to navigate for exactly that reason. At 20 to 25 metres the profile stays inside normal recreational limits, so the dive is about working the wall slowly rather than about depth.
