A large pinnacle near the Vassilios wreck site off Vis. It begins as a plateau at 6 metres, slopes away to 20, then turns into a vertical wall that drops past 50. One site therefore covers everything from a long safety stop on top to a deep wall run below it.

The dive
You drop onto the plateau at 6 metres, the shallowest part of the pinnacle and where the dive will end, then follow the slope down. It falls away steadily to about 20 metres, and that is where the terrain changes character: the slope stops, the rock stands up vertically, and the wall carries on down past 50 metres, deeper than any published figure for the site goes.
How far down that face you go is the whole decision on this site. Teams working the deep end drop along the vertical wall and turn early on a fixed plan; anyone diving it recreationally stays on the slope between 6 and 20 metres and still gets the shape of the pinnacle. The ascent is the easy part either way, because the plateau on top is large and shallow enough to spend the end of the dive on.

Season follows Vis: Dive season runs mid-April to mid-October; Jun–Sep gives the warmest water, near 24°C, and calmest conditions for the wreck sites.
Know before you go
- The wall runs past 50 m with no bottom in sight and it is easy to keep following it down: agree a maximum depth before the descent.
